SC teen with one arm pitches no-hitter
Paging Jim Abbott.
Coleman Shannon, a South Carolina 14-year-old born with one arm, pitched a no-hitter for his little league team earlier this year. Shannon was born with the condition Amelia, in which his right arm ends at his elbow.
Yankee fans will of course remember a similar situation with one-armed pitcher Abbott, also a lefty, who hurled a no-hitter for the Yankees in 1993.
