Shane Victorino traded to Dodgers

The Phillies are officially open for business.
Center fielder Shane Victorino has been traded to the Dodgers for two young pitchers. The deal is official.
Victorino, 31, is hitting .261 with nine home runs and a .324 on-base percentage this season for the struggling Phillies. He's a .277 career hitter in nine seasons and is earning $9.5 million in 2012. Victorino is eligible for free agency after the season.
This will actually be the second time the Dodgers land Victorino. They drafted him in the 6th round of the 1999 draft, but he was eventually plucked from LA by the Phillies in the 2004 rule 5 draft.
The two pitchers going to Philadelphia are right-handed starter Ethan Martin and righty reliever Josh Lindblom. Martin, 23, is 8-6 with a 3.58 ERA in Double-A this season and Lindblom, 25, is 2-2 with a 3.02 ERA for the Dodgers.
Victorino is the fourth player the Dodgers have acquired via trade in the last few days, joining Hanley Ramirez, Randy Choate and Brandon League as new additions in LA.
