Start after a no-hitter a mixed bag

Johan Santana's no-hitter was sooooo last week.

Once again, Johnny Vander Meer's record of two consecutive no-hitters is safe. After hurling the first no-no in Mets history last Friday, Santana got bombed by the Yankees this Friday. But it's not just the Mets ace who experienced a big letdown after his historic moment. The game after a no-hitter is often a mixed bag for pitchers.

There have been six no-hitters thrown since the beginning of the 2011 season. Here's how each pitcher did in his no-hitter and the start following it:
