Subway Series matchup: Starting pitchers
The breakdown on the starting pitchers in the Subway Series that ran in Friday's newspaper but didn't make it onto our Subway Series matchup flash that just looks at the lineups.
STARTING PITCHERS
Mets: R.A. Dickey, Chris Capuano and Mike Pelfrey
Yankees: Freddy Garcia, A.J. Burnett and Ivan Nova
This doesn’t quite match last year’s two pairings of Johan Santana against CC Sabathia, eh? It’ll be Dickey’s first appearance against the Yankees in a Mets uniform. Pelfrey has pitched better of late. Burnett and Nova possess the highest upside of this sextet, yet both can fall apart in a hurry.
Edge: Yankees
