Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar and second baseman Gleyber Torres were named finalists for the 2018 American League Rookie of the Year on Monday. The Angels' Shohei Ohtani is the third finalist.
Fellow Yankee Aaron Judge won the award last season after slashing .284/.422/.627 with an AL-best 52 home runs and 128 runs.
The Yankees could become the first American League club to have a player win Rookie of the Year in back-to-back seasons since Bobby Crosby and Huston Street did it with the Athletics in 2004 and 2005.
Andujar hit .297/.328/.527 with 27 home runs, 92 RBIs and 83 runs in 149 games, while Torres slashed .271/.340/.480 with 24 home runs, 77 RBIs and 54 runs in 123 games.
The winner of the award will be announced at 6 p.m. next Monday live on MLB Network.
