Someone must have gotten to Dallas Braden. For now, the A’s lefthander has decided to end his verbal tirade against Alex Rodriguez, whom he accused of violating the pitcher's mound space when the Yankees visited Oakland last month. Braden renewed the feud this week, but put an apparent end to it Friday night.

``As far as I'm concerned, and I'm sure he feels the same way, it's a dead issue for me,’’ Braden told mlb.com. 

Braden may have been told to close his mouth, either by his team or Major League Baseball. "I thought my candidness and my honesty with the media was something that everyone's not used to getting," he said. "I guess I'll just have to be introverted from now on and give the cliches and the answers that everyone is looking for….’’
