Hal and Hank: Jekyll & Chide

E-Boland told you how Hank Steinbrenner made a not so veiled reference to Derek Jeter by saying "Some of the players [are]  too busy building mansions and doing other things and not concentrating on winning. I have no problem saying that."

 Turns out, Jeter has a new mansion, just a short distance from the team's spring training complex.

While Hank doesn't mince his words, his brother, Hal, is more reserved, though he went after Jeter, too, during contract negotiations. He just did through GM Brian Cashman.

Hal also said he has some of the ``old man'' in him, referring to his late father, George. If Hal has has some of his dad's attributes, Hank has the rest.

Hank's comments came the day after Jeter spoke about how he will enjoy his path to 3,000 career hits.

The first two hits have come from his bosses.
