Hughes makes first spring start

The Yankees play the Pirates this afternoon and Phil Hughes will be on the mound.

When we last saw Hughes, he gave up 11 runs on 14 hits over 8 2/3 inning to Texas in two post season starts. That was in the American League Championship Series, won, of cxourse, by the Rangers.  

Also of interest today, top prospect Jesus Montero starts behind the plate.
