The Yankees have grown accustomed to a large contingent of Japanese reporters being part of their media circus after many years of big-name Japanese players on their roster, including Hideki Matsui and Ichiro Suzuki.

But given the magnitude of Masahiro Tanaka's start in the American League wild-card game Tuesday night, has the Japaneses media group grown even larger than usual?

Mostly not, according to the Yankees. There are a few more camera crews credentialed than normal, but the 25-30 Japaneses writers who will be in the Bronx Tuesday is about average.
