Josh Beckett struck in head by ball
Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett was diagnosed with mild concussion symptoms after being struck on the side of his head with a batted ball, mlb.com reported.
Beckett was standing in short left field during batting practice. Beckett went down on one knee after being hit.
The Red Sox sent Beckett home and will update his condition Tuesday. He had been scheduled to start Thursday.
