Marcus Thames goes to Dodgers

Free agent Marcus Thames will be joining the Dodgers, ESPNlosangeles.com reported.
Thames, nearly 34, hit a career-high .288 with 12 home runs and 33 runs batted in for the Yankees last season. His career average is .248.
The righthanded hitting Thames could platoon in leftfield with Jay Gibbons.
