Teixeira goes down, which really hurts
Mark Teixeira went down the line hard, and went down hard.
He hustled to avoid a double play, but he grabbed the back of his leg on the way and couldn't make it to the bag, and couldn't make it off the field on his own.
We'll see how long he's out for. Marcus Thames is in to run for him. Thames stays in to play right and Swisher moves to first base.
Even though Teixeira is hitless in this series, that really hurts. His glove alone is worth having him in there.
