The return of Rafael
Rafael Soriano made his first appearance May 13 against the Red Sox, tossing a 1-2-3 ninth in Saturday night's 17-3 victory.
"I felt good," said Soriano, who struck out two. "The velocity wasn't there but I'm happy."
Soriano's fastball stayed in the low-90's.
"Liked it," Joe Girardi said of the outing. "I thought his location was outstanding tonight. It's good to see. Threw his slider where he wanted to, threw his fastball where he wanted to."
