Yanks rip Oswalt; Burnett throws well
Edwin Nunez hit a three-run home run and Curtis Granderson added a two-run shot off Roy Oswalt in this afternoon's 7-1 exhibition victory over the Phillies. Oswalt left in the third inning.
A. J. Burnett pitched hitless ball for three innings. (Listen to him talk about his start at facebook.com/newsdaysports.)
Yankees pitching had been perfect through the first five innings. That ended when Wilson Valdez homered off Hector Noesi with two outs in the sixth inning.
