Yanks to honor 10-year anniversary of 9/11
The Yankees are asking fans at tomorrow’s game to be in their seats by 12:30 p.m. for a ceremony honoring the 10-year anniversary of Sept. 11. As part of the ceremony, Wounded Warriors from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir in Virginia will be escorted onto the field by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Longtime Yankees employee Hank Grazioso, who lost both of his sons at the World Trade Center, will throw the first pitch, along with Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry, recently presented the Medal of Honor.
