Thoughts: The Yankees' victory over Toronto last night, combined with Boston's loss to Texas, put the Yankees back atop baseball's best division. Which is all the more remarkable when you consider that the Yankees are 4-11 against the Sawx this season, giving them a seven-game head start.
The Yankees and the Red Sox are providing, pretty much, the only juice in our playoff brackets watch. You know the last time we had a change of any kind that didn't involve these two teams? August 11, when the Diamondbacks passed the Giants in the NL West.
