Billups hopes Anthony will remain with Nuggets

Chauncey Billups isn't keen on the idea of Carmelo Anthony coming to New York after next season.
"I'm biased, but I'm optimistic that he's going to come back and play for the Nuggets," Billups said of his Denver teammate who will be the plum of next summer's free-agent class. "I know he loves the city. He's been there since he was 20 years old. I'd like to see him come back. But I don't really know."
Billups, who was in New York Tuesday with Team USA, was asked if he thought New York City was a place Anthony might like to be. Said Billups: "Not really. Not really. But my conversations with Melo remain with Melo."
