Spurs forward Danny Green and Iona alum Scott Machado are among several notable hoops players appearing in the 2012 Malone Mulhall Benefit Game at Adelphi University on July 28.

The game will honor Michael Mulhall, Jamie Malone and Paige Malone. The three died in a fatal accident on July 15, 2010, on the way to work at Camp ANCHOR. Counselors at Camp ANCHOR -- "Answering the Needs of Citizens with Handicaps through Organized Recreation" -- worked with mentally and physically handicapped individuals from the Town of Hempstead.

“This game has the talent level of a NBA Summer League game, and it's taking place right here in New York," Green said via press release. "It’s truly sad to see what happened to these kids while they were doing such great work for their community, but this event will honor their memory by helping others."

Joining Green and Machado will be NBA summer leaguers Sylven Landesberg, Justin Burrell, Paris Horne and Vernon Goodridge. Tobias Harris will also be in attendance, though he won't be playing, and Chris Mullin and Mike Breen will coach the two teams.

Tip-off for the exhibition game is at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the game will be donated to the Jamie and Paige Malone Foundation, and the Michael Mulhall Memorial Scholarship, according to a press release. Tickets range from $10-15, and can be purchased at the Adephi gym or at mmbenefitgame.com.
