Chicago Bulls point guard and 2011 MVP Derrick Rose had the best-selling NBA jersey from April 2011-2012.

Rose overtook LeBron James as the league's most popular jersey.

Last season, Rose played in 81 games for the Bulls, averaging 25.0 points and 7.7 assists per game en route to the MVP. This year, though, Rose battled injuries; he appeared in just 39 games, and averaged 21.8 points and 7.9 assists per game.

Despite Roste's injury woes, the Bulls still earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Confernece.

Following Rose on the list is point guard Jeremy Lin. Lin, a former second round draft pick who sparked a wave of "Linsanity" after bursting on to the scene for the Knicks, was averaging 14.6 points and 6.2 assists per game before he was knocked out of the regular season with a knee injury.

Kobe Bryant was third on the list; LeBron James, who had the best-selling jersey last year, was fourth; and Carmelo Anthony was fifth.

Two teams had three players in the top 15; the Knicks (Lin, Anthony, and Amar'e Stoudemire at 11th), and the Celtics (Rajon Rondo at 10th, Ray Allen at 12th, and Paul Pierce at 13th).

Since 2001, Bryant has topped jersey sales the most times of any player. He had the league's best-selling jersey from 2001-03, and in 2007, 2009 and 2010.

Behind Rose, the Bulls also topped the list of the most popular team merchandise sales. The Bulls were last No. 1 in team sales in 2001.

The Knicks were second, followed by the Lakers, Heat and Mavericks.

According to the league, the rankings are based on sales at the NBA Store in New York City, and sales at NBAStore.com
