Goran Dragic surges in free agent rankings

On March 15, Goran Dragic had scored at least 20 points in a game this season three times, had played at least 30 minutes six times, and wasn't even in the top 40 of our free agent rankings.

Fast forward four weeks, and the 6-4 25-year-old is in the top 10.

Dragic has been a force since taking over the starting Rockets point guard job from the injured Kyle Lowry, scoring in double figures in 19 stragiht games, registering five double-doubles, and leading the Rockets up the Western Conference ladder.

Dragic has been efficient, too, shooting 46.9 percent from the floor, on his way to averaging 15.5 points and 7.1 assists per 36 minutes. And those numbers are only improving.

Dragic looked good in spurts with the Suns his first 2 1/2 years, but stuck behind Steve Nash, he never received enough burn to tell whether he could start in the league. But with good size (6-4), good court vision and an excellent offensive game, it's clear that the fourth-year pro will be a starting point guard next year and down the road.
