Howard helps Magic even series with Hawks
Dwight Howard had 33 points and 19 rebounds and the host Orlando Magic defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 88-82, to even their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series at a game apiece. Jameer Nelson contributed 13 points with eight rebounds. It was a low-scoring third quarter with the Magic getting 17 points, but holding the Hawks to only 12.
Jamal Crawford led the Hawks with 25 points.
