Jeremy Lin among Time's Most Influential People

Time released its list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World today, including one NBAer:

The Knicks point guard made the list following his meteoric rise from obscurity to one of the world's most popular athletes. Arne Duncan, the U.S. Secretary of Education (and a major basketball enthusiast), wrote about Lin, "Jeremy cares only about one thing — winning. And I don't care whether you are an Asian-American kid, white, black or Hispanic, Jeremy's story tells you that if you show grit, discipline and integrity, you too can get an opportunity to overcome the odds."

Lin also appeared on the list as an author He penned the entry for Jets quarterback Tim Tebow, another athlete on the list. Lin wrote, "He is unashamed of his convictions and faith, and he lives a life that consistently reflects his values, day in and day out."
