Jeremy Lin wins 'The Epic Award'

The offseason awards keep piling up for point guard Jeremy Lin.
A breakout star in 2011-12, Lin was presented with "The Epic Award" at Wednesday night's NBA TV Social Media Awards for his 38-point performance against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Feb. 12, 2012.
"The Epic Award" was given to the game that fans voted to be the best of the regular season.
Lin also won "The Social Breakout Award" for the player that saw the biggest increase in popularity across Twitter and Facebook during the season, and was awarded it prior to the show.
Lin, who went undrafted in 2010, signed with the Knicks at the start of the 2011-12 season. He burst on to the scene against the Nets on Feb. 4, scoring 25 points off the bench, prompting Mike D'Antoni to insert Lin into the starting lineup. Lin didn't disappoint, leading the Knicks to six straight wins as the starting point guard, including the 38-point game against Los Angeles. However, Lin's season was cut short due to a knee injury, and he missed the postseason.
The Harvard grad is a restricted free agent this offseason.
The Lakers (Social Most Valuable Team), Kevin Durant (FTW Award for best buzzer beater on Dec. 29 against the Mavericks) and Kobe Bryant (awards for mentions on Twitter and likes on Facebook) were among the other notable award-winners.
