The Knicks had 10 players for practice today and it may be what they have for tomorrow’s game – but not necessarily the same 10.
Anthony said he’s not getting the usual lift on his jump shot and doesn’t have the power he needs in his leg.
If he doesn’t feel stronger by 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Anthony said, “I don’t think I’m going to try it.”
Stoudemire is coming back from left knee surgery, and it will be up to him when he can make his long-awaited season debut. He said yesterday he was less than 80 percent healthy.
He apparently had a good practice, but didn’t speak afterward.
“It's going to be up to him, based on how he feels tomorrow," Mike Woodson said. "That's got a lot to do with it. If he comes in and says hey my knee is sore from yesterday's work then we've got to back off.”
Two players who didn’t practice, Tyson Chandler (ankle) and Jason Kidd (recovery day) are expected to play, according to Woodson.
