Chandler grabbed 10 offensive rebounds Sunday, including the one that led to Carmelo Anthony's game-winning three-pointer with 8.2 seconds left in overtime. "I knew we were going to have to make something happen," Chandler said. "I wanted to get some extra shot opportunities for my teammates and Melo seemed to keep coming up with the big shots."
Chandler ended up with eight points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in 44 minutes in the Knicks' 100-99 win. He will get treatment on his elbow Monday and also is playing with an injured left wrist.
Amar'e Stoudemire shot around and did some jumping and dunking before the game. But there has been no update on his progress or possible return.
The Knicks said he would miss two to four weeks from the date he received an epidural shot, which was March 29. Interim coach Mike Woodson said Saturday he's not expecting Stoudemire back, that he's focusing on players in uniform. But Woodson remains hopeful that Stoudemire will rejoin the Knicks.
"There haven't been any setbacks or anything like that as far as I know of," Woodson said. "I'm pretty pleased where he is. I think he's pleased in terms of where he is. How long it's going to be before he gets back on the floor, I don't know. I have no idea."
The Knicks haven't lost at home under Woodson, a perfect 8-0 . . . Jared Jeffries had six points in 11 minutes in his return after missing eight games with right knee soreness. Bill Walker was available for the first time since Feb. 17 but didn't play.
