Jason Kidd received seven stitches in his head, a new Twitter account is born

Jason Kidd had a bandage on the right side of his head, where he needed seven stitches to close a cut from Lance Stephenson’s teeth in Sunday's 88-76 win over the Pacers.

You read that right.

Kidd made a patented pump-fake on the perimeter that got Stephenson into the air and he hit the Knicks point guard. We’ll let Kidd describe what happened.

“It was just a pump fake and he left his feet,” Kidd said. “His teeth met my head. I got stitches.”

First Kidd went to the line with a headband covering the bandaged cut and made the three foul shots. Then he went to the back and got stitches. He returned wearing that same headband that just didn’t fit Kidd’s head.

“It’s not a good look,” Carmelo Anthony said. “He had to do what he had to do. But we’re not going to allow that.”

Kidd was shown on camera laughing about the headband.

“That’s not my style,” Kidd said. “I’ll leave that to the guys who like the headband.”

During the game someone created a Twitter account called @JKiddsHeadBand. One of the tweets from this account read: “I’m rocking this#HeadBand all the way to June!!”
