GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The Knicks could be without Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis when they play the Grizzlies on Saturday night in Memphis.

Anthony missed Wednesday night’s game against the Nets because of a sprained right ankle. He worked out lightly with his teammates Friday but could not say whether he will play against the Grizzlies.

Porzingis did not practice because of a sore right shoulder. He said he’s questionable but expects to play. “You play every other day, you don’t have all the time to recover from all the bumps that you have in the games, and you can feel that on your body,” he said. “Me, as young as I am, I’m recovering pretty quickly from everything I have and I’ll come back from this little shoulder thing.”

Anthony sprained his ankle when he stepped on referee Steve Anderson’s foot late in the second quarter in the Knicks’ win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night. It was clear in the loss to the Nets that the Knicks’ offense is not the same without him. Porzingis had an unimpressive night, shooting 5-for-17 from the field and totaling 12 points.

Anthony said he hopes to play against Memphis but wants to see how the ankle feels. “I’m not where I want to be at this point, but it’s only two days back,” he said. “It’s not something I want to linger around if I try to rush back. If I can go [Saturday night], I’ll go. If not, I won’t.”

Porzingis said the team has to be prepared to play without Anthony. “Like always, it’s going to be tough to play for us without Melo, especially against a good defensive team like Memphis,” he said. “So everybody is going to have to step up. Especially me. I can’t have a game like I had in Brooklyn.”

Porzingis called Memphis’ Marc Gasol one of the best big men in the league and said he is looking forward to playing him — if his shoulder allows — for the first time.

“A great player, very physical,” Porzingis said. “It will be fun to go up against him.”

Jerian Grant missed Friday’s practice for personal reasons. It’s unclear whether he will return for the game.

Notes & quotes: Derek Fisher brushed off disparaging comments made about him by the Grizzlies’ Matt Barnes. “It really has no impact on me, so I don’t think about it,” Fisher said. “It has nothing to do with us trying to figure out how to win a game tomorrow, so I don’t really think much about it at all.” The game marks the first time the former Lakers teammates will be in the same building since they got into a physical altercation last October. Barnes, who was suspended two games for the fight, has filed a grievance through the players’ union looking to recover his lost salary.
