The Knicks signed former University of North Carolina guard J.P. Tokoto Tuesday.

A second-round pick of the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015, Tokoto received a small guarantee and will have a chance to make the Knicks’ roster in training camp. If not, he could play for the D-League team in Westchester.

The 6-foot-6 Tokoto played for the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA D-League last season and averaged 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2 assists. He was a member of the Knicks’ summer league team in Orlando, and averaged 10.2 points and 4.2 rebounds over 27 minutes.
