Knicks will open season against LeBron James and the 76ers, play the Spurs on Christmas day

The Knicks will raise their first championship banner since 1973 to the rafters on Oct. 20 at Madison Square Garden before a season-opening matchup with LeBron James and the Philadelphia Sixers, the NBA announced on Tuesday.
The game will air at 7 p.m. on NBC and Peacock as part of an opening night tripleheader.
The league announced the national TV schedule for the first week of the season and also some marquee games.
The Knicks will host their NBA Finals foes San Antonio on Christmas Day at noon at ABC. It’s the first of five games on Dec. 25.
The Knicks will visit Mitchell Robinson and the Boston Celtics on Oct. 23 on Amazon Prime Video.

Noon: Spurs at Knicks
2:30 p.m.: Heat at Celtics
5 p.m.: 76ers at Lakers
8 p.m.: Thunder at Timberwolves
10:30 p.m.: Nuggets at Golden State
