Mike Woodson said Carmelo Anthony will keep starting at power forward. But he said he also has to get Amar’e Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler and Anthony to click since that’s a lineup Woodson would like to use more.

They are – arguably the Knicks’ three best players – so they should be on the court together.

“I’m not scared to play Amar’e, Tyson and Melo together,” Woodson said. “It’s been pretty good in a short span and statistic wise they played pretty good together. I thought last night when I had them down the stretch together it worked. I just got to come up with some schemes offensively that can help them especially down the stretch so we’re not standing around so much.”

It’s the same issue as before: Woodson said he has to make sure the floor is spaced with those three.

“We can play Melo on one side and Amar’e on the backside receiving the ball,” Woodson said. “We fell into that one time. The other time it was a disaster because Amar’e came out and kind of screwed the spacing up. He tried to go into a step up and we had nothing.”
