And old enemy was in the house on Sunday and even he admitted it was a little strange for him to be inside the Knicks compound.

"I can't believe I'm actually here," said Reggie Miller, who attended the team's second day of practice at MSG Training Center. "I'm thinking Anthony Mason's gonna come over here with a club or something."

Don't laugh, Mason was actually nearby. He, too, took in practice.

For most of practice, Donnie Walsh was flanked by two of the sweetest shooters in NBA history in Miller and Allan Houston.

Miller was here to tape interviews for upcoming coverage of training camps for NBAtv. He said he saw a "huge difference" in the Knicks, but was against the idea of Carmelo Anthony going to either the Nets or the Knicks.

"I hope the situation resolves itself," he said, "I hope Carmelo makes the right decision."

Miller's idea of the right decision is, "for him to stay in Denver."

* - Your daily Eddy Curry Fitness Update: Curry made it through a three-hour session in Day 2 (the team will have just one practice today), but stepped out of the conditioning drills at the end of practice. Mike D'Antoni made reference to a "tight hamstring or something." D'Antoni said, "It's not something where I raise my eyebrows, because he hasn't played in three years."

* - Amar'e Stoudemire seems to be tiring of the Carmelo questions. No, he has not talked to him in the last 24 hours (even if he did, would he tell us?) and no, he has nothing to offer about the ongoing saga.

* - Timofey Mozgov showed a lot of frustration with his game throughout the five-on-five play, especially with his touch around the basket. He spent extra time with assistant coach Herb Williams after practice working on post moves. Mozgov's English is slowly improving, but he spits curses in Russian.

* - Landry Fields is quietly going about his business as one of the best athletes in camp and someone who, like we saw in the Summer League, just plays as if he knows exactly where to be and what to do at all times.

* - The Gasp of the Day came when Bill Walker challenged a drive by Danilo Gallinari and both players hit the deck hard. Gallinari stayed down for a moment, but was back on his feet and showed no ill-effects of the contact.

* - The team will have one more double practice day on Monday.
