Lakers' Marcus Smart fined $35,000 for obscene gesture toward game official

NEW YORK — Los Angeles Lakers guard Marcus Smart has been fined $35,000 for making an obscene gesture toward a game official, the NBA announced Saturday.
The incident occurred at halftime of the Lakers’ 143-135 win over the host Utah Jazz on Thursday.
The 31-year-old Smart is averaging 10.6 points this season.
