LeBron James outscored Philadelphia's entire starting five in the first half by himself Monday night.

So did Chris Bosh.

So did Dwyane Wade.

And that pretty much tells the tale of a night the 76ers would rather forget.

No comeback required for the host Miami Heat this time -- they went wire-to-wire on the lead, and moved two wins from advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

James scored 29 points, Bosh had his second straight double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Miami took a 2-0 series lead with a 94-73 victory over the abysmally shooting 76ers last night.

Showing no signs of the migraine he battled Sunday in Game 1, Wade scored 14 points for Miami. Thaddeus Young scored 18 points and Evan Turner 15 for the 76ers.

Bulls 96, Pacers 90: Derrick Rose had 36 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Kyle Korver hit a three-pointer with 1:04 left for a five-point lead as host Chicago took a 2-0 lead in the series.

Howard: 3-D peat

Dwight Howard became the first player to win the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award three straight seasons, getting 114 first-place votes from a panel of 120 sportswriters and broadcasters. Boston's Kevin Garnett finished second.

Rockets to ax Adelman

Rick Adelman is out as coach of the Houston Rockets. The team will not renew Adelman's contract for next season, according to a person familiar with the decision who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The 64-year-old Adelman went 193-135 in four seasons with the Rockets. His career record is 945-616. -- AP
