Report: Lou Williams to enter free agent frenzy

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia 76ers' leading scorer Lou Williams will opt out of the final year of his contract and become a free agent in the offseason.

The paper cites a source, who said, "He's indicated that he's not going to pick up his option. All indications are that he's going to opt out."

Williams has come off the bench for all 63 games this year. He is averaging 15 points on 40.7 percent shooting, and has connected on 36.2 percent of this three-point attempts.

The shooting guard is earning $5.9 million this year, according to HoopsHype, and was set to earn $6.4 million next year.
