Report: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist entering draft
Ford quotes a source who said of Kidd-Gilchrist, "He knows he's going to be a top-5 pick. He can't pass that up."
The source told Ford that Kidd-Gilchrist "hopes he'll be able to announce right after [Kentucky] win[s] the NCAA championship."
Kidd-Gilchrist is averaging 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
Should he enter the draft, Kidd-Gilchrist would be the seventh Kentucky freshman to be drafted since 2010. The six previous were John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe, Daniel Orton, Enes Kanter and Brandon Knight.
In his latest mock draft, Ford has Kidd-Gilchrist going No. 2 overall.
