Rajon Rondo suspended for Game 2
NBA Exective Vice President of Basketball Operations Stu Jackson announced today that Rajon Rondo has been suspended one game for making contact with an official.
The suspension will keep Rondo off the court for Game 2 of the Celtics-Hawks series.
Late in the fourth quarter of the Hawks' 83-74 win against Boston, Rondo, incensed with a call, began arguing with a referee. When the referee turned, Rondo continued toward the ref, eventually bumping him with his chest. The official immediately ejected Rondo from the game.
Rondo was also suspended earlier in the season for an incident with an official, when the Celtics point guard threw a baskebtall at a ref.
The Hawks and Celtics play tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta.
