Spurs get fancy in romp over Jazz

Forget the Heat, and the Thunder, and the Lakers.
The Spurs are -- and have been -- the team to beat on the road to the NBA Finals.
Since March 17, San Antonio is 23-2 including the playoffs. They have outscored opponents by an average of 109.1-95.2, or nearly 14 points per game. Over the stretch, they have beaten the Mavs by 17, Sixers by 17, Lakers by 21 and 24, and Jazz by 10, 15 and, last night, 31.
In last night's 114-83 romp, San Antonio turned on the flare, locking up four of the 10 spots among the NBA's best plays. Manu Ginobili's stuff on a Utah fast break was No. 10, Tony Parker's scoop layup under two Jazz defenders was fifth, Danny Green's fastbreak dunk was No. 4, and Kawhi Leonard's no-look shot (which was waved off) was second.
Utah has been, more or less, hopeless, overmatched by the Spurs on both on offense and defense. While San Antonio is shooting 52.4 percent from the floor and 41.0 percent from three, the Jazz have shot just 42.1 percent overall and 30.8 percent from three.
The smart money's on two more lopsided San Antonio wins. Then, the Spurs will get their first test of the postseason in either the Clippers or Grizz. Don't expect Gregg Popovich's drive for five to end their -- or anytime soon -- either.
