Blockbuster trades and Dwight Howard rumors overshadowed Day 2 of free agency. That said, there is still news surrounding two of the top 15 players available this summer.

Report: Raptors offer Nash $36M

According to reports, Toronto is making a hard push to bring Steve Nash north of the border. The Raptors reportedly made a three-year, $36 million offer to the 38-year-old, who hails from Canada. Few teams are expected to be able to come close to that number.

Meanwhile, USA Today reports that Nash's current team, the Suns, have yet to offer the veteran a contract. With so many teams courting him, Phoenix may not even offer Nash a deal.

Duncan set on returning to Spurs

ESPN's Marc Stein and Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears are both reporting that Tim Duncan, long assumed to be set on sticking in San Antonio, is close to agreeing on a lifetime deal with the club. Duncan, who earlier told Yahoo! Sports that he'd be a "Spur for life," may be content on agreeing on the framework of a deal, then signing it whenever it is most convenient for the club, according to Stein.
