Varejao battled injury during the 2011-12 season, but when he was on the court for the Cavs, he produced career-best numbers: In 25 games, Varejao averaged 10.8 points and 11.5 rebounds, both the highest marks of his career. The 29-year-old averaged better than 13 points and eight rebounds in both the 2009 Marchand Continental Cup and the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship.

As Team USA's final roster for the 2012 Olympics was announced, the Drib compiled a gallery profiling each NBA player who will represent a foreign country in London.

So far, 23 NBA players have clinched spots at the Games; five for Team France, five for Team Spain, four for Team Argentina, four for Team Brazil, and one each for Teams China, Australia, Great Britain, Lithuania and Russia.

There are also four NBA players on the two teams fighting for the final spot in London at the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament: Al Horford and Francisco Garcia on Team Dominican Republic, and Ike Diogu and Al-Farouq Aminu on Team Nigeria.

Two semifinal matchups took place at the qualifying tournament today. Russia won the opener against Nigeria, and Lithuania topped the Dominican Republic in the second half of the doubleheader. The wins clinched spots for Lithuania and Russia in the Olympics. The Dominican Republic and Nigeria square off tomorrow, with the winner earning the final ticket to London.
