Sure, you knew that the Twitter logo is a little blue bird. But did you know that "his" name is "Larry the Bird?"
And did you know he is named after Boston Celtics great Larry Bird?
According to MSNBC, the logo's name, Larry, was first referenced in a tweet from Twitter itself on March 1, 2011. And on Aug. 11, 2011, Stone confirmed a question from Peter Stringer, the Celtics' Director of Interactive Media, that asked whether the bird was named after, well, Bird.
