Erik Morales - Danny Garcia fight in doubt over drug test

The first world championship boxing card in Brooklyn in 81 years will be staged at Barclays Center Saturday night, but whether the main event occurs remained a question Friday night.
Even if the Morales-Garcia fight is scrubbed, two sources involved with the card said that “the show would go on.”
Garcia, 24, beat Morales in a unanimous decision in March for the WBC light welterweight title, and won the WBA light welterweight title with a 4th-round TKO of Amir Khan in July.
It is the first such event in a borough that spawned boxers such as Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe, Zab Judah and Mark Breland, all of whom are expected to be watching at the $1-billion arena.
In the three other featured matches, which will be televised by Showtime, Brooklyn’s Paulie Malignaggi (31-4, seven KOs), who turned pro 11 years ago in the last major fight card in the borough (in Coney Island) defends his WBA welterweight championship belt against Pablo Cesar Cano (25-1-1, 19 KOs); Hassan N’Dam, the WBO middleweight champion, takes on Manhattan’s Peter (Kid Chocolate) Quillan, and Devon Alexander tries to claim Randall Bailey’s IBF welterweight crown.
