Erik Morales set to make big return
Former three-division championship Erik Morales (48-6, 34 KOs) will face Jose Alfaro (23-5, 20 KOs) in a 12-round bout for the WBC Intercontinental welterweight championship on March 27 in Monterrey, Mexico.
The 38-year-old native of Mexico hasn't fought since suffering a unanimous-decision loss to David Diaz on August 4, 2007.
The claim to fame for Morales was his defeat of Manny Pacquiao on March 19, 2005. The two faced each other twice more with Pacquiao coming out on top both times.
