The subtext was a show about two sets of best friends. Floyd Mayweather Jr. and 50 Cent and Miguel Cotto and Bryan Perez. Very different, but very cool.

Nice work by 50 Cent on the speed bag.

Floyd's spin on Easter, rabbits don't lay eggs. Brilliant.

Yes, slightly weird that Cotto and Perez share a bed.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has made millions of dollars for HBO and HBO has made millions of dollars for Floyd. We get that they are partners in all of this. Floyd has a tremendous platform on 24/7 and Face Off. HBO should have left it at that. Immediately following the second episode of 24/7, the network swung and missed with a half hour segment on just Floyd. He is one of the greatest fighters in any era and he is very entertaining on 24/7. But what they basically did was give Floyd 30 minutes of air time to tell the world why he's right and everyone else is wrong. He's going to jail on a domestic battery charge but somehow he's still right. He's justified in sending a racially-tinged tweet about Knicks guard Jeremy Lin because he speaks his mind. Just because you can speak your mind, doesn't always mean you should.
