A friendly press conference in Quebec got a little testy Wednesday as light heavyweight opponents Bernard Hopkins and Jean Pascal were face-to-face.

"Bernard Hopkins says that the smartest guy will win," Pascal said. "He says he is the intelligent man and I am the idiot. After the fight, everyone will know who the dummy really is."

Pascal, apparently upset about the lack of respect he's received from the boxing media, made his voice heard in a big way at the press conference.

"When I go to the states, you guys speak in English. There is no translation," Pascal continued. "Now you are in my country, you are not home. This is my territory, so in this town, we speak French."

Hopkins didn't seem to be moved at all.

"Enjoy the fight," said the 45-year-old.
