Another boxing card took a blow Wednesday when heavyweight Jonathan Banks suffered a broken thumb during a training session, forcing a postponement of his February 16 bout against Seth Mitchell.

The HBO Championship Boxing card at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City will still go on though, as WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (25-0, 21 KOs) will take on Gavin Rees (37-1-1, 18 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round bout.

A new date for the Banks-Mitchell rematch is expected to be announced soon. Banks (29-1-1, 19 KOs) scored a second-round TKO against Mitchell (25-1-1) when the two met at the Boardwalk Hall in November.
