Nick Charles to call opening HBO bout Saturday

Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa in action. He is the WBA featherweight champion.
Nick Charles, defiantly battling cancer, will call the opening fight on HBO's Boxing After Dark card this weekend in Atlantic City.
"We are not doing it for press; just a way of saluting Nick for all his contributions to the sweet science," a contact over at HBO wrote in an email.
There will be a reunion of sorts because Nick's longtime Showtime broadcast partner, Steve Farhood, will be on site for the international call of the card.
The show starts at 9:45. Yuriorkis Gamboa defends featherweight title against Jorge Solis in the main event.
