Shane Mosley said he has the ultimate remedy for Manny Pacquiao when the two hook up on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas: Power.

Mosley (46-6) is convinced once he hits Pacquiao (52-3) with a few of his vaunted power shots the  fight will turn in his favor. "I know how difficult this fight is," Mosley said. "Pacquiao fires punches from all kinds of angels, is on his toes during late rounds and gives you different looks."

The bout will be carried on Showtime pay-per-view.

Mosley is the biggest fighter Pacquiao has faced to date. Will Mosley's power be able to derail the Filipino Congressman? Mosley thinks it is possible.

"Pure power can take over all of that," Mosley said during a media workout session from Big Bear. "I know I will be able to get good hard punches onto Pacquiao."

Fresh off an unspectacular draw against Sergio Mora last August and a one-sided defeat at the hands of Floyd Mayweather last May, Mosley is hoping to keep himself in the mix for future big-money bouts. But his future will undoubtedly be tied to his performance against Pacquiao.

A bad loss could mean retirement. A close loss or upset win could lead to another showdown against Mayweather or perhaps a rematch with Pacquiao. Mosley is convinced he can get the victory and plans to use Pacquiao's style to his advantage.

"My energy is great, at a very high level," he said. "I have a lot of power in both hands. I know Pacquiao will go right on the attack, which is a great advantage for me."
