Suffolk Police to fight NYPD tonight
The Suffolk County Police Department boxing team, led by captain Jason Morales, takes on the NYPD tonight at the Sheraton in Smithown for the New York State Police Boxing Championship.
The doors open at 6 p.m. and fights start at 7:30 p.m. The event is being put together by Kristian Vasquez, a two-time Golden Gloves champion. Several local charities -- including the Wounded Warriors -- will benefit from the event.
