So now who's in the driver's seat?

Before Floyd Mayweather Jr. signed on the dotted line to take on Shane Mosley, Manny Pacquiao was the talk of the boxing world. His domination of Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey vaulted him to the top.

But after Mayweather's domination of Mosley on Saturday night, preceded by a shellacking of Juan Manuel Marquez in September, Pacquiao could be in chase mode now if he wants the fight to happen.

"If Manny Pacquiao wants to fight, it is not hard to find me," Mayweather said at the postfight news conference. "We were going to make the fight a couple of months back, but it didn't happen."

Mayweather dismissed the idea that a fight between him and Pacquiao needs to happen. "If the fight happens, it happens," he said. "I'm not going to chase any fighters."

Golden Boy Promotions boss Oscar de la Hoya was very complimentary of Mayweather (41-0, 25 KOs) and said any future date with Pacquiao is up to "Money" Mayweather.

"Mayweather can decide who he wants to fight now," de la Hoya said. "He can decide who, when and where."

Much of the points made by Mayweather and de la Hoya were validated by the announced crowd of 15,117 that packed the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

When Mosley landed a hard overhand right that stunned Mayweather, fans were yelling Mosley's name. But by the end of the fight, they were cheering for Mayweather.

That fact wasn't lost on Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, who said he expected the pay-per-view numbers to eclipse the 2-million mark.

"When the fight started, people were yelling Mosley because there were a lot of haters," Schaefer said. "In the end, they were yelling 'Money' Mayweather."

Mayweather credited HBO's 24/7 series for showing fight fans "who the real Floyd Mayweather is."

Several names had been mentioned as possible opponents for Mayweather if talks with Pacquiao and Top Rank don't go anywhere, including Cotto and Paulie Malignaggi.

A potential bout with Sergio Martinez, who recently defeated Kelly Pavlik, was even broached. Mayweather would have to jump two divisions and fight at 160 pounds to take on Martinez.

Moving up in weight didn't seem to faze Mayweather, who said a fight with Martinez at 160 pounds "is possible." Going overseas is also an option for Mayweather.

"That's always been a dream to go to the UK and fight," he said.

Everyone wants to see Mayweather and Pacquiao. But it won't happen unless the "Money" man says so.
