Brookhaven and Oyster Bay take step up in facilities
System upgrade
A sampling of some of the improvements in parks and recreation facilities in Oyster Bay and Brookhaven:
Town of Oyster Bay
NEWLY CONSTRUCTED PARKS & FIELDS
Borella Field (Plainview):Three natural turf baseball fields, one natural turf all-purpose field, ADA-compliant playground.
Field of Dreams (Massapequa): Incldues two multipurpose synthetic turf fields, one multipurpose turf "mini-field," one basketball and two-ADA compliant age-appropriate playgrounds.
REDEVELOPED PARKS & FIELDS
Ellsworth Allen Park (Farmingdale): Multipurpose synthetic turf field, new bleachers, irrigation, lighting and drainage system upgrades.
Abe Levitt Memorial Park (Hicksville): Complete redesign included two 60-foot and one 90-foot baseball fields, upgraded clubhouse, new scoreboards and age-appropriate playground.

NEWLY CONSTRUCTED PARKS & FIELDS
Diamond in the Pines (Coram): Two multipurpose softball/baseball fields with multipurpose artificial turf baseball fields, a natural turf all-purpose field and an ADA-compliant playground.
REDEVELOPED PARKS & FIELDS
Percy Raynor Park (East Setauket):Facility includes a 60-foot and two 90-foot baseball fields, upgraded age-appropriate ADA-compliant playground, sun shelter, walking path and multipurpose all- grass field for soccer/football/lacrosse.
Firemen's Field (Ridge):Redesign includes 90-foot softball/baseball field, upgraded clubhouse and age-appropriate ADA-compliant playground. Also a baseball/softball field with a multipurpose skin infield and a grass outfield.
